Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, machine learning, and big data technologies, with the ability to develop and implement advanced analytical models. Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and optimise machine learning models using tools such as Python, TensorFlow, R, and SAS.
Analyse large datasets employing big data frameworks including SQL, Hadoop and Spark to extract actionable insights.
Design and maintain robust database architectures to facilitate efficient data storage and retrieval.
Utilise SQL for data querying and manipulation across various relational databases.
Conduct data mining activities to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within complex datasets.
Apply natural language processing techniques to analyse unstructured text data for various applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions using AI methodologies.
Utilise AWS cloud services for scalable data processing and model deployment.
Write efficient scripts using Bash (Unix shell) for automation of data workflows.
Develop visualisations and reports that communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
Qualifications
Proven experience in data science or related roles with a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating expertise in machine learning and AI applications.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java Script.
Extensive knowledge of data technologies including SQLand databases.
Hands-on experience with Azure/AWS cloud platforms for data processing and deployment.
Strong understanding of database design principles and data mining techniques.
Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) tools and methods.
Experience with statistical analysis software such as SAS is advantageous.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets accurately.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
