Main Duties of the Job

Provides financial management advice, monitoring, and reporting services to divisions.
Acts as lead Finance contact for the Network services Division and key point of contact for budget holders and managers.
Provides support and input to projects, business cases, and service developments.

Job Description
Job Responsibilities
Support the Assistant Director of Finance and Head of Financial Management with monitoring and reporting.
Provide high-quality financial management advice for clinical and non-clinical divisions.
Provide strategic financial input for service development and strategic changes.
Support projects within finance or across the Trust.
Ensure the Head of Financial Management is informed of divisional issues.
Co-ordinate divisional monthly financial management information and reporting.
Co-ordinate budget setting processes and contribute to annual planning.
Interpret financial information, communicate variances, and advise on action plans.
Promote financial control, stewardship, and value for money.
Identify, monitor, and evaluate Cost Improvement Programme targets.
Forecast year-end financial positions monthly.
Uphold professionalism and support Finance Directorate objectives.
Present financial information to improve awareness and efficiency.
Advise on performance targets, service changes, and tariff implications.
Link with Income, Costing, and Contracting teams on profitability reporting.
Ensure accurate reporting of balance sheet and cash flow with Financial Services Manager.
Contribute to corporate financial projects, including Annual Accounts.
Maintain consistent accounting standards and share best practices.
Act as an authorised signatory for cheques and payment transfers.
Exercise independent judgement and problem-solving.
Prioritise own work and manage sub-teams, including appraisals and development.
Provide financial training across the Trust.
Develop and implement financial policies and protocols.
Provide cover for other finance team members.
Agree on personal objectives, development plans, and maintain CPD.
