Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our community team in delivering exceptional care to patients in the community around Hexham, Corbridge, Riding Mill and surrounding areas. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our service users with their daily care needs. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our service users receive the best possible care in their own homes.
Salary: £12.60 – £13.00/hr
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A HOMECARE ROLE, you will be working with different service users in their own homes.
Sponsorship is available but only for candidates who already live in the UK.
THIS IS A ROLE FOR CANDIDATES WHO ARE ALREADY IN THE UK.
Responsibilities
Assist service users with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Help service users with mobility and transfers.
Monitor and report any changes in service users’ physical or mental health status.
Provide emotional support and companionship.
Assist with meal delivery and feeding for service users as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of service users’ care plans and progress.
Work collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure that service users receive high-quality care.
Requirements
Previous experience in a similar role at least 6 months.
Access to own car.
A caring and compassionate nature.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to undergo training and develop new skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Flexibility to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
