The Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources (BSEER) is part of The Bartlett Faculty and consists of four world-class Institutes. These Institutes deliver expert knowledge, collaborative research, and teaching.

The centralised School professional services team supports:

About the Role

The Operations Manager leads a team of nine staff, ensuring effective delivery of Professional Services in:

  • Human Resources

  • Finance

  • Facilities

  • Space management

  • IT

The post holder will:

  • Deliver operational support services efficiently, responsively, and professionally

  • Support excellence in teaching, research, and enterprise

  • Operate in a busy, fast-paced environment requiring efficiency, organisation, and attention to detail

  • Interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

  • Demonstrate a professional attitude, willingness to help, and a positive outlook

About You

You should have:

  • Experience promoting and providing excellence in administration and support services

  • A proven record of staff line management, team leadership, and motivation

  • Initiative and sound decision-making skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and discretion

  • Ability to liaise effectively at all organisational levels
