Main Responsibilities

  • Foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere that promotes resident independence and dignity.

  • Assist in planning and delivering individualised care to residents.

  • Supervise and lead a team of care assistants, providing guidance and support.

  • Administer medications and maintain accurate records.

  • Perform personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.

  • Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring residents’ health and safety.

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.

  • Participate in developing, implementing, and updating care plans.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the care home.

  • Uphold confidentiality and respect for residents’ rights and privacy.

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).

  • Previous experience in a similar role.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Compassion, empathy, and a positive attitude.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • A valid PVG and two references are required.
